Emily M. Roberts grew up in Metro Detroit and has been a creator her whole life. She earned her bachelor's degree in Film with a minor in Art, and holds an AFA. With a passion for exploring digital media techniques and multiple artistic mediums, her creative journey began with editing film and music clips in iMovie simply for fun. Since then, her passion for filmmaking and art has continued to grow, inspiring her to become an auteur—developing a distinct creative vision and taking an active role in every aspect of a project, from concept to final production. Particularly passionate about production design, Emily has experience in theatre set design, film set decoration, and wardrobe and makeup design. A trained beauty advisor and self taught SFX artist, she loves using makeup as a tool to help tell a character's story. Her long-term aspirations span both creative leadership and community-building. She hopes to pursue a career as a creative director for a beauty company or as a lead production designer for feature films, while one day creating a nonprofit art studio and creative space that provides others with a place to explore, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life. Her professional experience spans creative roles, customer service, and prestige sales, giving her a diverse skill set rooted in creativity, collaboration, and client engagement. Her favorite jobs include working as an Art Gallery Assistant and her current job as a Prestige Beauty Advisor.
